The novelties and desk pad draw from Sashiko, a type of Japanese embroidery which has a long history and association with indigo textiles. With a distinct stitching on a contrast background, Sashiko adds both function and beauty to a garment."

• The brass is raw so it will collect micro scratches and oxidation over time, both adding value to the character of the item.
  
  

In poetic terms,

Being mirror-polished raw brass, it will pick up micro scratches over time that lend it additional character and you can already see the oxidation happening in the crack. Inspired by the Japanese phrase 諸行無常 – shogyō mujō – or the impermanence of worldly things, along with the sculptures of artist Daniel Arsham, this artisan will bring some major wabi-sabi vibes to your keyboard.
